Are you a rising spoken word artist or poet? One of Rupi's first-ever performances was at a local open mic night in 2009 at the Punjabi Community Health Centre. Performing has always been at the root of Rupi's work and is where she feels most at home. Rupi now invites you to share the stage with her to perform your original poetry in front of a live audience. Join other rising poets to be an opening act at a Rupi Kaur show near you!

How to apply

• Record a video of yourself performing your original poem.
• Post to your public Instagram feed or Facebook, tag Rupi and use the hashtag #RupiKaurWorldTour so Rupi can find your video. Please include in your caption the name of the city that is closest to you.
• If you do not have social media, you can submit your video along with your chosen city to hello@rupikaur.com.
• Look out for a DM from Rupi to learn if you've been shortlisted.

Tips for your application:

• We're looking for a performance of up to 5 minutes long.
• Film in a room with lots of light, free from external noise, and with a good microphone.
• Ensure your Instagram feed is set to public so Rupi can find your audition.
• Make sure to use the hashtag #RupiKaurWorldTour
